Registrations are Open for Women’s League 2019

Sports at LUMS in collaboration with Department of Sports, Wellness and Recreation, at the Lahore University of Management Sciences, is hosting the “LUMS Women’s League 2019” from November 1st to November 3rd, 2019. The tournament will include eleven female sports – Cricket, Football, Badminton, Table Tennis, Volleyball, Swimming, Basketball, Squash, Hockey, Tennis, and Net ball – with some sports being played in the Sports Complex at LUMS while others at their respective outdoor fields. This championship will be one of a kind, and top school/university teams are expected to be a part of this event. It would give us great pleasure if your institute’s female teams can join us and make it a success.

Our aim is to break the barriers for all the girls in Pakistan which is why this year’s ideology behind Women’s League’19 is women empowerment. Previously, The Sports at LUMS Society (SLUMS) invited girls from underprivileged backgrounds to LUMS and gave them detailed sessions about how to become successful in life with limited resources. It also organized a talk on acid victims with social activists and female victims of harsh circumstances as guest speakers to create awareness. Additionally, girls from The Citizen Foundation (TCF) were previously invited to LUMS and spent an interactive day at LUMS with sports and informative sessions. Thus we hope your school would send maximum girls to play various sports to help us achieve our goal of women empowerment.
