Sports at LUMS in collaboration with Office of Sports, Wellness and Recreation hosted Women’s League’19 on the 8th, 9th and 10th of November, 2019, where 266 participants took part. The three-day event held its purpose in upholding the platform of promoting women empowerment. This was reflected by breaking the barriers of society and creating a platform for all the girls in Pakistan to come and play sports together.
On Friday, the 8th of November, a Karaoke Night was arranged by the SLUMS Host Team in the Academic Block A-15. On Saturday, the 9th of November, a Social Responsibility initiative was done by SLUMS by conducting matches for dodgeball, cricket and tug of war for an all-girls trust school in Lahore, followed by a talk on the importance of sports, and lunch was organized too.
For the Closing Ceremony, we had two chief guests, Ghulam Fatima and Kainat Hafeez, where both were Pakistani Cricket Players.
Sports
The tournament comprised of eight sports – Football, Badminton, Table Tennis, Volleyball, Basketball, Squash, Tennis, and Netball with some sports being played in the Sports Complex at LUMS while others at their respective outdoor fields. The following teams/ players won the respective sports:

- Volleyball
Winner: LUMS A Runner-Up: FCCU Score: 24-14
- Basketball
Winner: LUMS Runner-Up: FCCU Score: 23-19
- Squash
Winner: Aamnah Mansoor (LUMS) Runner-Up: (LUMS) Score: 2-0
- Tennis
Winner: Kinza (LUMS) Runner-Up: Sadaf (FCC) Score: 6-2
- Netball
Winner: LUMS Runner-Up: LSE Score: 17-15
